So I'm about to change trans fluid...

So i don't feel like drawing it out so here's the basics hopefully its enough for ya.

The TC is 12 inches in diameter and 5.8 inches high (see screenshot from fordparts.com)

So you guys claim the TC is full of fluid? Ok, so let's turn the doughnut into a cylinder to make the math easier, if you go look on fordparts our TC looks pretty close to a cylinder anyways, the ends are pretty flat. So a cylinder with a diameter of 12inches and a height of 5.8 inches has a volume of ~2623 cubic inches (V = πr2h) which is 45.41 us quarts (V/57.75=quarts)

So by yalls theory the TC holds over 45 quarts of ATF0c28e70feabebb3d6f92000396f39c31

Hmmm I'm no rocket surgeon but I'm pretty sure your math is off

Volume of cylinder is (Pi)(radius sqaured)(height)

That gives me about 656 cubic inches. If 1 quart is about 57 cubic inches that gives me....

Hmmmm

About 11 quarts.....

My bad i used 12 as the radius instead of 6, so you're right, but still, by yalls argument the TQ holds 11 quarts... except the whole transmission holds 11.5 so .5 is all thats in the transmission? Ok

Yep that shows you all the stuff thats inside so the TQ can't hold 11 quarts, and as i said previously, MIGHT hold 5 quarts while spinning but I feel like ours is less than 5, it definitely is while at rest and if you tilt the car far enough you can get more out. Had an 80s chevy pickup that the TQ held 8 quarts and that was easily 2x the size of this TQ

Yes, that TC holds all 11 quarts, because it is a perfectly round and completely hollow cylinder. Yes, the rest of the transmission holds the remainder 0.6qts. That is EXACTLY what we believe...

Damn, once again your the smartest guy in the room...
