Smoking while car is off...

Here's one, my driver side exhaust exit leaks out smoke after the car is off every now and then. It pretty much leaks out as does smoke from an artillery shell launch tube [fireworks]. There's been times it leaks out 3 minutes after the car has been off, and it's not a constant, even flow, sometimes it will not smoke for a while then it'll start up.

Any guess? :corn:

oil leak??? my cars similar to that and it has a front crank seal leak.

Anything leaking on the cats? do you have cats?

It's coming out the rear of the car from the tail pipes, nothing by the engine.

No cats, either, but I noticed when I bought the car the original owner install an aftermarket y-pipe [maybe due to bad cats from the original]. The resonator was also removed, so all I have is mufflers. I'm just wondering if it can be some old cat material burning inside? I never experienced anything with cats before, and sometimes my performance is there, then sometimes it's not. I also know my car runs rich and has the t-stat stuck open. I've never been over the L on Normal.

if your car is running rich and you have no cats its prob unburnt gas burning off on the hot exhaust manifolds/pipes
