I have a 97 sho with welded cams and i just had taken it to a shop to have it diagnosed and they said nothing was wrong but a fuel filter yet the problem still occurs occaisionally as always. It starts up and sounds like it has a miss and when rolling at 35 the tack fluctuates alot and the worst when you hit it alot of smoke will roll out of the exaust. I have been told that it could be a coil going bad or for the smoke problem i have been told it could be valve seals but the car only has 88,000 miles on it. i would like to know what some people think because i will be pulling the motor out in the next couple weeks to fix a small oil leak out of the front cover. thanks

The Color Smoke Coming Out Of The Exaust I Am Told By A Buddy Riding Behind Me Is Gray And I Started Using Mobil 1 Oil But I Was Going Through It Because Of The Oil Leak Out Of The Front Cover so i put in a couple qurts of Valvoline 5-30. When It Smokes Its Warm But I Never Hit It When It Was Cold. No check engine lights.
