smoke in the SHO

i started up my 89 SHO today and i saw smoke coming up. i checked under the car, i didn't see anything leaking on the floor or on the exhaust. any ideas? the smoke is not that strong and the car does not overheat :shrug:

looks like its coming from under the valve covers, the smoke is like very light grayish

Your valve cover gaskets could be leaking onto the exhaust manifolds. Causing some smoke.

/\ most likely...im having the same situation...use new gaskets...reuseing the originals will not work (ask how i know...)

Check the power steering pump also. My power steering pump is leaking on my 95 and it drips directly on the exhust. I had to clean the lower engine area and let the engine run to find it.

My valve cover gasket was cut in one area; the oil dripped right onto my manifold, causing it to smoke... nothing was leaking onto the ground. Mine stopped after the replacement; but be careful not to pinch the new one- they're a b*tch to get in straight.
