Ok so I got this 91 SHO+ and yesterday I get on it for the 1st time. I only took it to 7 grand one time... This morning I crank it up and for 10sec there is no smoke. Then it starts to smoke a gray/white smoke for 30sec or so till it cleared out. It smelt like fuel and ater it cleared up it didnt smoke again all day. Im not sure what it is but wanted to see what you guys think. Thanks for any and all help...:thankyou:

What's the maintenance history on the Plus?

It's probably time to change the plugs and do everything else for an upper 60k.

I dont think anything has been done to it. As far as I know the only stuff thats been done is what iv done:
New Rad
New Belts
New Hoses
New Oil

From what I know the plugs a stock and I know the wires are. I thing the timing belt is stock. I dont have the money to do all the 60K on it, but how hard is it to get to the plugs?

They can be changed without removing the intake, but it's easier if the intake is removed. All you have to remember is to reconnect EVERYTHING.

I agree on the tune-up, plus a can of Sea-foam for the fuel tank(and replace fuel filter after 500 miles). And clean the TB and MAF. If it hasn't been serviced before, that's most likely got alot to do with it. Perhaps the 02 sensors are involved... Bottom line, IMO, get the maintenance up to date.

Ran fine for 2 miles then it just dies. Now it will turn over but not crank up. I have fuel press but i dont think im getting spark. What do yall think?

Im sorry for the D post. Im doing this from my cell phone. So i just got a ride to the shop where i will have to fix my car. And the car cranked right up. I left it there so i could look at it in the morning. What do you guys think it is? I pulled the codes on KOEO and got 14,33,91. Im not sure what the codes are but maybe it will help yall know whats wrong with my car. Thanks for any and all help.

The first suspect would be the crankshaft position sensor CPS. The second would be the camshaft sensor CID, which you can diagnose by crank-no start-release key. If it starts after you do that sequence 2-3 times, it points to the CID. It could also be a missing ground strap on the right rear of the intake manifold or missing/loose screws (two) than hold the right intake crossover tube in place. It could also be the DIS module, but don't replace too quickly as those are pretty reliable.

may need new valve cover gaskets, oil could be leaking into the plugs, that would cause smoke and sluggishness.
