Yep. My first was after about 3,000 miles. I noticed after pulling into my garage, the garage was filling with smoke. I quickly jumped in the car and pulled it outside, then noticing the oily substance on the floor. After an inspection at the dealer, they found the right side axle seal leaking. Apparently these are the exact same problem prone seals found on the Flex. They replaced the seal, and all was fixed. Then after 25,000 miles, I developed two more oil leaks. The same seal leaking again, and another transmission gasket was leaking. The fixed the leaks, went out on a road test, and now the car doesn't shift. Ford advises them to replace a part in the transmission. That didn't work. Next Ford advises to tear out the tranny and rebuild it. They do that and find a broken gear. (For all those tuners out here... this is a broken gear on a VERY stock car!) They fix the broken gear, put it all back together. 3 weeks later, I get the car back. It shifts through the gears so fast that I am in 5th going a measly 30 mph. There is a clunk on the right hand side when I brake normally and turn right. And... the car leaked oil worse after all this was done than it did when I first brought it in for an oil leak.
So yeah... I have had them. All from the tranny, none from the engine. The new 2011 so far shifts perfectly and no leaks!!!!
