so, event number three of our Slush Series, winter auto-x was today. ended up being a BEAUTIFUL day. it was a fairly simple, high-speed course, with the fastest cars completing their runs in 28-30 seconds. my fastest was 33.1seconds. i'd love to try a day with wider wheels and better tires, and see if/how my times improve. the tires i have are not really meant for more than puttering around town with, definately NOT performance oriented in ANY way.

anywho, here are some photos and two video clips from today:

Sweet! Cold, dry days are the shizzle, for sure.

If that group has a website or forum or email list, send them the link to your pix. That sort of thing is often appreciated and might score you some points. ;)

And a wide-angle lens would help your vids a lot...kinda tough to see much as it is.

Looks like you're catching on quickly and having fun, though!

Eric:
they're the first ones to get the link. :) also, i use my old canon powershot A510 to "film" as i dropped my actual video camera on the ground and broke it years ago...:bonk: never really thought too much about replacing it cause i rarely have the opportunity or need to use one. and even though they're SOOO cheap these days, i can't really afford one at the moment. ...that, and i think i've only got one more auto cross event that i'll be able to squeeze in here. i'll most likely pick one up if there are events held wherever i end up living and can bring the SHO out there with me though. maybe some crazy xmas sales will prompt me though? :nut:

Bob:
it is indeed the new tarmac at Pitt Meadows airport. more fun than driving around on my own on portions of the old indy track (while it still existed - its being developed into Condos now)

we've got a couple people coming up from WA, and we have people coming up from the BC interior (4-5hr drive) for our events. you should come up too. next event is Jan 6th. i'm pretty sure thats going to be my last event here though... i'm (fingers crossed) only expecting to be here for another 2-3 months, and the rest of January is full of making CRAZY money on the weekends :naughty::evilgrin:
