When accelerating lightly, I get a major shudder while the slow-shifting tranny slips into second gear. When accelerating faster than normal, I don't get the shudder. Why is this happening? Does this happen to anyone else? shrug

Nah, your tranny is fine. You solved your own problem in your email. SHO's are not made to be accelerated lightly, Give it some more of the go pedal and all is well.

Yeah that is how I avoid the problem! thumb But when the car in front of me is not accelerating as quick as it should, or when I have Jonny Law behind me, then the problem comes back. But yeah For the most part the problem is avoided, but it is a nuisance. So I will have it fixed under warranty. thumb

Mine started the same thing 2 weeks ago on a transmission with 58000 on it-- blew the torque converter-- use the warrenty-- it would have been around $3000 without it, but I haven't seen my car in two weeks either. hopefully I get it back tonight thumb

The sprngs dont break on the Ax4n SHO, but the 1-2 piston does crack.
