Should You Be Able To Hear The Fuel Pump Run All The Time?

Uhm.....it is normal. However, the older the fuel pump the louder it is. Before my original pump went out (around 150k) - it was loud, really loud. But, none of them are silent.

Only as a warning of impending failure. Mine was quiet until it started to fail.

yea it sounds the same, loud when i turn the key and stays on while driving, looks like im going to be changing it soon.
