Saw that on ebay for a real nice price.

Anyone got these installed? If so , how is it quality-wise?

Even further , anyone have these on cut coils?

I have Gabriel struts on a stock '92. The reputation is that they are for SLOs not SHOs, but I prefer them to the Monroe Sensetracks. That's the only strut I can compare them with, because by the time I changed the original struts they had completely given up the ghost. It's been a while since I put them on, but I think they were imported from Italy, and they were obviously well made.

I like mine...

did the rears for $125
Struts
Mounts
Bellows(came w/bump stops)
Pinch bolts
Stabilizer bar End links

One of the struts were made in Italy and the other one was made in the US. The one that was made in the US did not have the hex at the top of the strut piston.

They ride nice.
Great "service" type strut for a daily driver.

Does anyone have the part # on these Gabriel struts, I have 2 sitting in my kitchen. When I checked the Gabriel website they give a part# that doesn't match but if I type in the part# on the box it says they fit a Taurus. The part# I have is g55517 any help would be great.

I had gabriel struts in front on -1 coil Intrax for about 6 months while I located a new Tokico. I changed the Gabriels out every month.

I have a friend with a CSVT that put Gabriels on to replace his stockers. He hated them so much that he went to the stealership to get new stockers put back on 2 weeks later.

I like the KYB GR-2's They are stiff but still give when your in city driving mode. Have them on both my Mustang and my 94 ATX both with Eibach springs.

My personal opinion, based upon first and second hand experience is that Gabriel struts are utter garbage. In most instances, the failure rate was <25k miles.

So tell me the reasoning behind your preference. Because to claim that the gabriels are better than Monroe Sensatracs is ludicrous.

Do you have any personal experience with the Monroes?

How many miles do you have on your gabriels?

What coils are you running with them?
