I was all for this kit when it was posted they were working on it and I would love to have one on my 89 but a $5400 commitment is just crazy for a car I bought on ebay for less than $800. I was really hoping it was going to be in the $2-2500 range.

The kit looks awesome and if I come into some money I'll be all over this. I really hope they sell a bunch of these because I love what they do for the community.

Wow!

Nice supercharger kit with the added bonus of no fuss lubrication.

Does it bolt-up to the double belt system as well as the single belt system? That engine looks like a 3.2.

Looks like a winner, a premium product at a premium price.

When I boosted my SHO, the blower was $2k by itself... In a group buy.

Back when you did that there was still support for these cars and they still had value. Crank sensors, rod bearings, main bearings, head gaskets, trans internals,... all obsolete or very near to it. It just doesn't make sense when you can put a couple grand into a Focus ST and have 400 dependable horsepower.

Looks super-nice, ogleworthy.

Option 1: The Basic Kit is just the hard to get custom parts, which includes:

  • The bracket
  • Supercharger mounting spacers
  • Both pressure pipes.

Option 2: The Complete Kit includes:

  • The bracket
  • Supercharger mounting spacers
  • Both pressure pipes
  • Vortech V-3 supercharger
  • Vortech Maxflow Race Bypass Valve
  • Silicone supercharger piping couplings (4)
  • Clamps (8)
  • Lincoln 80mm MAF
  • O-ringed MAF adapter ******
  • 3.6" supercharger pulley
  • Idler pulley
  • 6 rib belt
  • Aluminum catch can.
  • Compact K&N air cleaner (not pictured) or larger Airaid filter (pictured, but requires modification to the fender passage)
  • The kit DOES NOT INCLUDE a larger fuel pump, larger injectors, TwEECer (or other programmer), battery relocation kit, or a wide band O2 for monitoring. We do sell all those items separately, so please let us know if you need help building your order.

Wasn't the total cost of the Shosource turbo set up much more than the total price of this SC kit? I'm glad they came out with this kit, it's nice to have a new option verses trying to install a used set up.

That wasn't the point... You hoped it was going to be a price that simply cannot happen.

You missed my point. If I knew I could find the parts to fix my car when this kit breaks it then I would have no problem spending the money. The price I posted is just to say thats what I would be willing to throw down right now.

That's a great price for the bracket and piping. You can find blowers on the Corvette pages used for cheap. People always upgrading to a Ti or ysi. I'm 99% certain they are the same ccw head unit. I've been on the look out for a used v3 Ti to replace my v2 T trim.

Whoa whoa whoa, you have a pretty nice 4th gen, why would you make a change like that? Dont get me wrong, I like the ST, but would it be a reasonable tradeoff?

Edit: sorry! *this forum is missing the "thread hijacked" emoji thing.*

I have both. The SHO is my garage queen, and my ST Focus is my red headed daily driver. They say red heads are more fun......yep.
