So I think my shocks are going out so I figure time to upgrade. I was wondering what the best after market set up is on springs and shocks.

SHO's have struts. The rear end of the Taurus wagons had shocks. The best SHO struts and springs? No such thing as the best, only different. In my opinion. The best would be Koni struts with Ground control coil overs.

Tokico struts and Eibach springs are pretty popular street set-up.

a lot of people have been happy with the KYB and cut moogs as well. Do a search and you'll see what different combos different people have used and their results.

I need struts on two of my 89's.
I'm putting Motorcrafts on my stock Titanium.
And I will be putting KYB's on my stock Currant Red.
Both still have the stock springs.
My 91+ has Tociko's with stock springs.
If they are daily drivers like mine, a stock strut works best.

Sory I ment to say struts. I was talking to my dad about shocks for his car when I typed that. Where is the best place to get them or is everywhere pretty much the same?
Tockico stopped making them for the SHO so there are not many sets left out there.

Koni's at almost full soft setting and Eibach's are great for control and smooth ride; better conrnering and braking over Tockico's which are kinda stiff and less control since they are gas charged....wish the adjustable Tockiko Illumina's were available for the SHO though; had those on another car....

Anyone ever hear of KYB Struts? I have a guy telling me rhey are AWESOME but I've never heard of them. He says he'd put them on his Prelude but theyr are too pricy. They run 74 and 77 for the SHO. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

KYBs are stock replacement Struts. Quite popular actually.

He told me they where extremely nice performance that it was alot better then stock.

Most people thing that as they are comparing them to worn out stock ones. Of course new ones are going to be better.
