So i was getting my oil changed and the mechanic pointed out to me that my shock had broken, and was about 1/8 inch from my tire. They told me to get it fixed immediatly. Since i have to buy new shocks and struts, i was thinking about getting lowering shocks. Then i looked at my SHO and realized my car already looked low due to the ground effects kit. Anybody got any comments or concerns on what would look good, or what WOULDNT look good.
Its a 1994 SHO gen 2

1: its not the strut that "lowers" the car, it is the spring. If your spring was broken and 1/8" away from your tire, then I am guessing you have a broken front spring that was caught in the "catch bracket" that is installed on 2nd gen sho's that have that bracket installed. If that is the case, then yes, you need new springs. put struts on while you are at it since you will have them out anyways.

For 586 bucks you can get a set of 4 tokico struts and 4 eibach springs delivered to your door. When I had my gen 2 and the front spring broke, I had 2 moog springs and 2 monroe struts installed at the mechanics and sorry to say I was *****. Paid over 800 for the job just for the fronts.

Last month I (with the help of the SHO brutha hood) installed all the way around for 700.00. Expect to pay probably 1000 or more to have it all done if you pay someone with that parts set up.

You can get moog springs and monroe sensitraks for much cheaper, and others will attest to that setup being "good".

I would strongly recomend a moog CC/Monroe setup if your in a money crunch. Do a search on MOOG Cargo Coil and youll find alot.
