Must have a pretty poor running sho then, if the dsm still has stock turbo on it.

If your car runs well, i.e. properly maintained engine and suspension. You'll have no problem walking this car (On the track ofcourse). What generation eclipse is this? 1 and 2nd gens autos pushed less boost stock then the manuals. I've driven one and its very, very slow. No way is a stock automatic eclipse turbo going to beat out even a decent running SHO

let's be real...how many stock DSMs are left on the road? having said that, stock auto eclipse should be easy prey for any MTX SHO with a driver mod.

SHO all the way ive raced many eclipse turbo or no turbo you got it..... confidence is key.... my newest win is against a LS1 smoked the snot out of him

A stock Eclipse Turbo will do high 14s in the quarter mile. If an MTX SHO can with just a y pipe then it will be a close race. We don't even know what mods are done on the Eclipse so it could be anyones race. It will also depend on the drivers as well.

Last time I checked confidence couldn't overcome horsepower and I am almost certain confidence can't make an average SHO take out even a lightly modded DSM. You may have gotten lucky and got a stock ATX turbo but like it was already said, not many stock DSMs out there.

Ok... I know...It's Sam calling BS...AGAIN...but bear with me here....
So....Unless it was infact...NOT A LS1 car but instead a 6 Cylinder with SS/Z28 Badges....Or....the LS1 Car was not infact racing....and my favorite...The LS1 car you raced was a 6 speed....with a driver who had 5 Second delays between each shift....You did not keep up with...or let alone...beat the SNOT out of a LS1 powered car.
As for as the Eclipse Vs. SHO, If the eclipise is Stock and you can drive (You don't even have to be a great driver) I see no reason for this Automatic Turbo Eclipse to beat you.

Unless he has some Aftermarket TKO tranny in there or somthing....
ALL LS1 POWERED CAMARO/Firebirds either came with a T-56 6 SPEED, Or a 4L60 Automatic!

I hate to say it, but Sam is right on this one......
even with a crummy driver, a LS1 powerband will still knock out a SHO...... low 13 second car > low 15 second car

Does the eclipse have the illegal mod? if so, you're screwed.

well he told me it was a ls1 either way it was a v-8 no doubt but i walked all over him
