I am having a problem with my 93 ATX, When I give it the gas in a hurry, It just stalls and dies (like you turned the key off), if I give it the gas easy - normal driving- it runs fine.... Anyway about 2 weeks ago I replaced the camshaft position sensor and it fixed the problem for a while but then it returned, So I put another CPS on yesterday and still have the problem. I am thinking my new CPS might be bad?? The car is setting Code 212 (no tach input to processor - SPOUT) Anyone seen this before? Does anybody know a way to Check the CPS?? I also just replaced the ign.module and Crankshaft position sensor so pretty much everythings new...

Check your fuel pressure.

One at a time:

Disconnect the MAF and retest.

Disconnect the TPS and retest.

Ignore CEL during these tests.

By test you mean drive the car? I am having exactly the same problem with my 93 ATX... It has gotten better since I replaced the fuel filter but the problem still exists

Sprinteddie: let me know via PM if you get this issue resolved so I can get mine fixed as well, good luck!

Update: tonight I removed a friends SHO crossover tube w- Ignition Module and installed it on my car, and it fixed my problem....Damn replacement parts!! Apparently the parts store sold me a bad module, Tommorrow I will have mine warrantied after only having it for 2 days. Hopefully the new-new one will be good.. Anybody know if Ford sells them & how much $$$

ummm....did you make sure the bolts for the crossover tube were tightened down? How bout the ground strap?

The bolts for the crossover tube are the grounds for the DIS.....if they ain't bolted down, it won't run..
