Ian thats where the hot wrench works. If I had one I wouldn't even try to remove them with out having the threaded area glowing red. I did this once and worked like a dream. Just make sure the struts are toast as they will be after they see that much heat for sure.

You got lucky. After breaking the rears on the first set I did, I heated them to glowing on the next set. Only snapped one that time. It's a crapshoot.

Although, after going through the drilling grief, hogging out the hole and putting in Grade 8 bolts and nuts makes life easier the next time.

I guess part of the trick is to loosen just a little then tighten the bolt again keep working it back and forth moving it outward slightly more than you go in each time this keeps it from binding up too much and snaping off. I have also noticed that its the shouldered area of the bolt rather than the threads that actually bind it to the point of snapping off.

Hmm, interesting. I'll have to make sure the shop knows im in sort of a rush.

I've been trying to find out what an H-Brace does and when using the search function i get arguments about STB vs SFC or just random threads about mods to suspension and it includes an h brace but its never stated what it is/does or how to install.

Anyone care to slap the ignornace out of me with a simple explanation?

Helps strengthen up the rear end where the control arms connect too.

A lot of places list it but do not have it. They drop ship from other places so you would need to make sure they actually have it on hand. Just a warning as this happened with the Intrax springs.

This is correct, we went through the same thing. We usually keep a couple of sets of Eibach on hand (SHO's up here are notorious for breaking rear springs), and based on having those, we promised a guy a set, but when the two sets we had quickly sold, we were left going through every ebay listing and many website listings to fill his order, only to be told 'sorry, it's discontinued, we need to remove that listing'. Of all the ebay listings, there was only ONE that actually had springs in stock, and needless to say, we got the only two sets he had (even though he listed 5 on hand).

We've removed them from our site.

Hmm. Well if the shop im dealing with is unable to pick up eibachs, i'll probably grab myself some intrax and have them express shipped to me. Then take the parts to these guys to put them on.

I contacted Selex suspension and got a reply from them. Was just asking if they have any dealers in my area and they told me they can sell the struts directly to me. Fired off another e-mail for a price/shipping quote so hopefully tehy get back to me soon.

Looks like i might be the test subject for these struts. A local shop is looking into getting eibachs for me, hopefully they get back to me soon. If no eibachs available....well i might do B&G or Intrax springs.

Just viewing from the side here.... but how do you think you can get struts cheaper than a forum sponsor? I would imagine he would have more pull than just a single customer.

Plus your kind of stepping on his D**k here... he found the struts, you think you can get em for a few pennies cheaper? If money is that big of an issue, get a used setup. Me personally, I'd rather toss a few bucks to someone that is always on the hunt for new aftermarket stuff for our cars.

X2!! I have yet to break a pinch bolt.. even on my rusty 92. I started with the head of the bolt getting that glowing red, and actually tightening it first, then doing the forwards / backwards thing for a while.. but even that was proving difficult.. in the end I had to keep the torch on the bolt and work it out while I kept it red... much easier with 2 people.

Thanks.

We have tried to get them as cheap as possible but this is where we are at.

If you are in Canada we will make sure you pay the right amount for shipping.

I just remember waking someone up to order some injector seals... :) And then getting them sooner than expected. You're "good people" in the SHO world, and always seem to find or come up with things for our cars that some haven't thought of, or tried to put any effort into making them a reality. And that is worth something to me.

What? A guy cant shop around for the best price? If i could avoid a mark-up and save on shipping, why wouldnt i?

Paying 1,091 USD plus shipping isnt something i would enjoy doing seeing as my Cdn wallet would take a big hit. Also i have limited time to wait for parts to show up and then get things together. I would like to drive the car a week or two before putting it into storage. Maybe SHO Source keeps them in stock and would have to ship the struts from the U.S. I just recently that most parts suppliers dont stock stuff but have it shipped from their source, to your house. I now assume it would be shipped to me from Montreal as opposed to somewhere in the U.S. I would like to drive the car a week or two before putting it into storage.

Yea but if you also read in there, it says "will be manufactured in 4 weeks" or something close to that.... it's not like they are sitting on the shelf. And I would imagine paying cash as a customer is always more than what a buisness rate is.

We do ship direct from Selex, so we get the best price possible. We try and pass that on. We do not keep any on the shelf right now.

These are made to order and take around 2 weeks to make. If you order them we will have them shipped direct from Selex so you won't pay as much for shipping.

Just put my order in for the TR-60's for my 1995 SHO. I just hope i'm able to get things installed before any winter weather comes our way. I was hoping to drive it a bit, that might not be possible this year. It's going to **** me if i have to wait until the spring time lol

Looks like i'll be the first to test these out on an SHO! Do you guys recommend getting new front/rear endlinks or anything else? Bushings or anything else like that?

Got your order thanks! We will get it going as soon as the credit card clears.

Defantly replace the strut mounts. You might need the endlinks as sometimes they can be bad or hard to remove.

Since you are there you can replace strut rod bushings, but it is optional.
