Alright, when i took my plenum off to do my valve covers, we had a cold storm, and my memory of what hooked up to what was a little foggy. I got the vacuums hooked up ok, but there were a couple of molded hoses I had removed and i want to make sure i hooked them up right. The pics didn't come out real great so bear with me.
Thats a picture of the plenum from the underside, right where it connects to to the throttle body. There are two hoses. One has a clamp on the other end and runs to the bottom right of the pic. The other hose runs out of the top right of the picture. Does the hose that you can fully see (with the clamp) hook up to the throttle body here? Or does the hose running out of the pic attach here? I've got the one with the hose clamp hooked up and iit seems to be working fine, but id like to be sure.
(pic of my finger touching the end of the throttle body, again, not that clear)
What does this connector go to? Is it the tach service or something else?
These next few questions, i can probably find by searching, but might as well include them in this thread. If you don't feel like ansswering them but know of a good search term/thread that addresses, feel free to let me know:thankyou:
93 SHO. Interior and Body wise, are they the same as the rest of that gen taurus?(minus the badging and spoiler) Id like to know what cars i can pull this stuff from.
Slight burning oil smell inside the cabin with defrost on after car has reached operating temp.. Ideas?
Steering. At low speeds the wheel has that floaty feel i expect in a ford, at higher speeds it seems to take some extra force to turn the wheel..but then it goes to floaty again after that first initial part. Is this a desired function of the VAPS so people dont oversteer? Or is it an annoying problem with my car?
Suspension. the car handles well.. like garbage. Do these cars handle well with new stock items or do you have to go aftermarket? Is the suspension the same as other Taurus' of that gen?
Finally, are there any issues with the car that Ford hasn't addressed with a TSB, but actual owners of the car KNOW is actually a problem? (IE Acura Legends and their head gaskets)
Sorry for the long post, and thanks for any help.
