I have a 1993 SHO 5spd,3.0. w/150,000miles. If it has been sitting all night or all day I need to let it warm up for at least 10 minutes otherwise it will bog down on me for a while. The more gas I give it, the worse it gets. I get right on the highway and I can barely get it past 50mph. After a couple of miles all of a sudden it just kicks in and everything is fine.
The "Check Engine" light comes on now and then and the mechanic checked it on the computer, but it showed nothing.

you should try running the codes yourself just to be sure. check my signature for the directions. that is definately an odd problem though. perhaps someone else has a little more insight than i do. good luck!

Since the engine is not in closed loop control mode until the engine warms up, there is probably something with the fuel or air supply causing the glitch. You may want to search on cleaning the mass airflow (MAF) sensor filiments and check for obvious vacuum leaks in the hoses to the secondary accumulator tank on the rear intake plenum, the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail or the canister purge solenoid valve hose to the top of the throttle body.

I'll bet that the MAF sensor filiments are caked with crud. Use an electrical contact cleaner or intake mainfold spray to gently spray the filiments after you remove the electronics box from the MAF sensor body.
