Wow... I suppose there is some logic in converting to a fuel toilet. Seriously curious what the power output and run-ability is in comparison.

I dont understand why people rip off a more efficient, power making FI setup and slap a carb on. You see it on LS swaps a lot. Nice modern engines with ancient technology on top. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

The carb’s advantage is hard to see, but I agree with you. Simplifying the fuel delivery system meant loosing the EFI.

Carbs are finicky and few people can maintain them properly, but they deliver just as much horsepower as any FI system.
Remember Groce with his weber multi carb set up going after the land speed record.

You give up the improved drive-ability offered by FI when you change it out.

I question that it is a 390 cfm double pumper carburetor.

Yep, once you're at WOT a carb does just fine. I can't stand them myself, but you can't argue with the top 2 most powerful N/A SHO motors both being carbed.

I just don't understand why you would take the intake off this engine. Once you do that it's a mildly high performance, heavy V6. Especially for a hot rod. He even mentions that it's quite the looker. Looks terrible compared to the original induction setup.
