Okay, Here goes...

For a 3.2

Height from bottom of oil pan to top of the DIS module or the Idle Air Control bolt ******: 27" The vent to the IAC sticks up a hair higher but we don't need no stinkin vents.

Width: From one intake support bracket bolt to one on the other side: 23" Keep in mind there are other superfluous attachments that can be moved out of the way for a FrankenSHO install; such as the Intake Runner Control vacuum canister.

Length: From end of crank bolt to the back of the block. This is the mating surface for the bell housing. I'll measure how far the crank's flywheel mounting surface sticks out past the bell housing surface at a later date. 21"

AeroStar 5 speed bell housing from an 87 or 88: 7 3/8"

My AeroStar bell housing to Ford Mustang V-8 T-5: 1/2" finished thickness.

T-5 from V-8 Mustang with the 7.85" input shaft: 24" from bell housing face to end of tail housing.

Feel free to make other measurements and post them here, just make sure they are easy to understand.

I've always wanted to use it as an inboard in a 14' Jon boat. Make it only two passenger. It probably wouldn't be fast but it would be neat. Could you imagine screaming up the river with an open header yamahammer screaming off of the river banks?

that may be a good solution for those damned asian carp, they'd jump all the way ashore and un-suffocate

So this is the measurement from the engine mounting face to the transmission mounting face? Overall height/length (point of view) of the bellhousing, essentially? Just want to make sure.

That's just the length from face to face. And another thing to make a note of; the 2nd gen SHO starter bolts up to the AeroStar bell housing. The AeroStar bell housing however does not have the two bottom boles that line up with the two oil pan holes of the SHO. I don't believe this to be a big problem since the T-5's input shaft reaches all the way into the SHO crank's pilot hole.

flywheel mounting surface is about 5/8" past the bell housing mating surface.

flexplate mounting surface for the torque converter is 1.25" past the bell housing mating surface.

I don't have a flywheel laying around just now, maybe someone w/ a flywheel can chime in with where that puts the clutch mounting surface.

I would like a section just for the ones that do this. I agree and make sticky on measurements etc. Then make the builds that do this RWD or FWD in differant cars in that section. Got my permission to move my build.
Jr. There has been SHO in foxbody, A lemons car [running car], a man on foureyedpride.com [in progress], another here [unsure please update], me [in progress]and maybe some others. It will fit, nightmare but fits. Maurice
