ive not been around for to long but, from what ive noticed from past locations they try to change em up.............east west and center, so its fair for everyone

wouldnt b a bad idea i dont think of some of us eastern members could get a unofficial meet together around the same time frame for those who cant make it out to Seattle

just MHO tho.......

The Convention travels. Last year was in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the year before was in Memphis, 05 was in Indianpolis. Usually they dont announce the next location until the final day of the convention, but they announced Seattle 08 in 04 or 05.

It's a car club after all. You should enjoy driving, no matter how far it is. The caravans to the conventions are almost as fun as the parking lot festivities at night. Trust me.

The conventions have turned into my one big vacation each year, so I don't mind it being at a location that I would normally not travel to. I've never been to the west coast, so I am really looking forward to doing so in July.

yeah if you ever go to one, you wont care where it is, the more important question is the mode of transportation getting there... i just wish i had more money so i could go....

i cant wait for the 8000 other threads with people who never went to the convention biotching about it being too far away

Yeah those threads are an every year thing. Unless it is in everyone's backyard at the same time, nobody is happy. There was one in Madison not that long ago, although it's a shame it was before I ever heard of the SHO Club.

If you are looking for something closer, TCCA is having a Running of the Bulls in Michigan this year, I believe. I hope they are running Grattan, but I haven't paid much attention to those threads over on TCCA.

I think they're running Gingerman in the spring/summer for the running of the bulls per an e-mail I got from Jason. It did mention that they would not be running Gingerman in the fall.
