o well i will be saving 120 to 180 a week.... well i can buy a atx for 500 or so. or just build the 3.0 i have.. i thought it wasent worth the money to do a engine swap. my mechanic who is a very close friend who has alot of connections in high places and accounts with alot of companies for his buisness does work on my car dirt cheap. he helped me install my trans/clutch for 140 dollers since i worked on the car all night with him. he quoted me 400 in labor. he will plastic gauge my crank and send the specs child and alberts and get made to spec rod and main bearings. also rehone the cyllinders and re ring the pistons. also said he can get me custom ground comp cams for 600$ i am also getting my 2000 lbs valve springs from him. i am trully blessed to have a friend like him

It's not always worth the money if you have a perfectly good running 3.0.

I'm pretty sure Yamaha already had bearings made to spec for the engine. It's not exactly a small block chevy where you can't look through a catalog and find something for it on just about every page.

He also isn't going to get custom ground shit for $600.


And 24, 2000lb valve springs are gonna slow you down...thats like, 48,000 pounds. Pretty heavy.

As long as it takes to *** (5 minutes) and maybe fill one of the water bottles at the fountain, or gas up (a bit longer). As you get older, you also need to stretch the legs and keep the blood moving.

You wouldn't have done well with us driving up to Michigan then. We drove over 400 miles non-stop, then got gas just outside of Nashville, drove another 3 or so hours, stopped literally for 20 seconds to swap drivers (I let my brother drive awhile), then did not stop until 1 more time in Lima, OH (needed gas again). So basically 2 real stops in 975 miles of driving. I don't count the driver swap since we didn't get out and go in anywhere.

Since my brother should be getting his SHO next weekend, we should be there with a SHO of some sort at next year's convention.

And, with all of the time I baked into the '04 Caravan to CA, we still made all of our night stops even with the breakdowns going both ways.

NC will be a good Caravan, but I'm not sure how well it will work. Probably meeting in Ohio with the Chicago/St. Louis/MN folks.

Funny to me that we're already planning this even thats 51 weeks away. I was thinking about leaving Chicago around noon on Saturday, to get to Dayton, OH around 7 pm. Then leave around 8 AM on Sunday to get to Raleigh/Durham around 5 pm. Of course, depends on what route everyone else takes, and if we need to go to Lexington and meet up with the STL crew, it would probably be around the same distances.

when u got a baby and you need to stop every 2 or 3 hours and feed a bottle, change ****** diapers, or just let him out of the seat(kinda torture to keep a baby in a car seat all day) I don't see how I could possibly cover a 1000 miles in a day.

400 miles non stop to me means driving for 400 miles without shutting off engine and getting out of the seat. Thats like driving from north of atlanta to south of orlando in Florida. I seem to be able to drive longer distances once I get off of I-95 on Florida's east coast, that road is boring as shit. Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and the Carolinas are fun as **** to drive in.

When your driving and you stop every 100 miles or hour and a half, how long do you stop for?

I wouldnt bring them with you. While your trying to socialize, she's chasing the baby around miserable as shit saying she's being ignored and youre no help. Todd trust me man, leave the family home. Kids arent ready for something like this until at least 5-6 years old. I learned the hard way, instead of enjoying myself im worrying about how ****** she is that i dragged her there. At least at the 5-6 yr old point he knows what he's looking at and you guys can both have a good time.
