does SHONUT include the tools for adjustment in their shim rental kit? ...

No. You can buy them through SHONUT but I purchased them through OTC who actually makes the tools for $42 delivered. It was a little cheaper. You don't need to buy the pick tool-you can buy one at any auto parts store. SHONUT has GREAT service-you'll have the shim kit in hand in less than a week after ordering.

OTC is the company that makes the tappet holder/compressor. Although the name of the company might have changed (now SPX???) I was able to get them last March. Go to SHOTIMES.com and look under Care and Feeding of the SHO, then look under adusting valve lash. It has the telephone number for customer service and the part numbers. FYI, when you do your adustment, tape a string to the tappet holder and tie the other end to something in the engine. The holder can pop out and fall into the engine compartment and it can be hard to find.
