because I'm sort of lazy and don't want to buy a $50 tool that I'll likely only use once.

Just in case you didn't know:

I'm not sure if there's an Autozone in your area, but for your information they will lend you tools for free. Just put down a deposit, and then you get it back upon the return of tools.

Good luck.

even if you can't see any problems with the tread or sidewall, there still may be a slipped belt.

hmmmmm, this may be a possibility now that there isn't any looseness in the front steering I can feel it in the steering wheel and from the body. I still need to do the LCAs but I'm thinking my issue is either the axle that I just installed, wheel balance, or a slipped belt. leaning toward a tire issue since it wen't from not so bad to this is something I can't live with without any middle ground.

thanks, this wasn't as hard as I made it out to be once I spent the money on a wood chisel so I could get the proper angle on the rivet head to get it to lift off. and now I have the tool to do it again if the need ever arises. Although AZ is close it's out of the way and I ended up getting switched over to nights this week so it worked out well.
