I have a 95' ATX and my serpantine belt is squeeking and i believe its from my tensioner. Does anyone know where i can get a tensioner for cheaper than $250. Advance Auto and Auto Zone cant even get them in, and i would hate to have to pay that much.

Belts squeak as they get old and worn out. Replace the belt and go from there.

Take your serp belt off, and spinn each of your pulley's by hand. That should help you narrow down the bad pulley/idler. As TYSHO stated above belts do squak on there own.

If you do find out that it is the tensioner pulley, find one at a junk yard and take the pulley only. Thats what I did, cost $25.00. If its a 3.2 you will find it hard to find.

If it is the pully try a junkyard or post a want to buy on here. Changing the belts is also a good idea. The belts were lose on my car and they were squeaking. When I took them off, they looked like they needed changing.
