There is this sensor that is mounted in a heater pipe located behind the engine. From doing a search I find it has something to do with the climate control. I cant find a harness to plug into it. Is it used? If not, then why is it there? Thanks

It's the CELO (Cold Engine Lock-Out) switch. That's the switch that keeps your heater from turning on until the coolant gets warm enough to support heater operation. If it's not plugged in, the heater will run as soon as you turn it on.

Obviously, it's not required for operation of the vehicle. It's a comfort thing.

I rebuilt my 3.2 and ax4s and am now putting it back in. I have been working on it for a few months now. I cant seem to find the plug for this sensor. That is why I wondered if it really had one.

It's there somewhere. I don't remember if it comes off the engine harness or the harness that runs along the firewall.
