Can someone help me out ? I had a ProM MAF on my car that worked fine except it seemed to run a little rich. I took it off wanting to go back to stock. Now the secondaries do not seem to open at the 4g mark. It was clearly audible with the PRO-m, but now there is no distinct notice. Is there a way to check if they are opening or not? Thanks

Rev the engine using the throttle body. As you do so, watch the intake at the runner/surge tank connection. If the secondaries are opening, you will see the vaccum operated solenoid "open".

If you have reinstalled the unmodified stock airbox, it may just be muffling the sounds coming from the intake.

I know this is off topic but I just have to say,

YellowSHO, Glen, Your Yellow SHO looks tight!!!!

Yeah just rev the motor in neutral like they said, and watch the tabs on the vaccuum diaphragms move up and down, if they are working.

Steve, i could not open the pics..(don't know why) Could u try again? I would appreciate it greatly. I thought the secondaries opened (or is it closed)up strictly on vacume. Now i am confused about the soloinoid thing...Is the a way to check this. There is nothing happening when i rev it over 4 grand..
