What do you guys think about something like this? If it works like it says and lasts for a while than I think it's worth the $50 http://www.comforthouse.com/summerseat.html

http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadgets/smarthome-seat-cooler-blessed-summertime-relief-190908.php

I deleted my A/C and don't really care about the heat as much as I care about my shirt getting soaked and sticking to the back of my new seats. I have the Corbeau cr1's and they are fairly narrow so I don't know if this will fit that well in them.

Any input, experience, suggestions, or alternatives appreciated.

:oogle::rice:... lol j/k i dont know if it would work any good at all... think about it, its just pulling air from your cabin which is hot because you dont have A/C i think its a waste of money but go ahead and try it, let us know

Well it doesn't just move the air it has a built in A/C like in the newer cars with the A/C built into the seats. I am skeptical on the size of the fan though.

it dosent say anything about built in A/C anywhere in the description unless im blind that is. just says "The secret of the patented Summer Seat is the power fan in the front flap that circulates air through the hundreds of tiny spaces in the microfiber and mesh materials" and i knew it was BS as soon as i read "The secret of the patented .. is the POWER FAN" its bogus dude, there is no A/C in this thing. just a fan

It looks like you are right about it not being air conditioned. I did find this one though that is twice as much. It also has heat built into it. It is cooled through liquid tubing. You can also use it indoors if you want. This one is twice as much $99 plus shipping. http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/thcosecu.html
I prob won't spend that much on something like this though, maybe I'll find one on ebay.

so instead of air being trapped between the seat and you, which obviously causes sweaty seat syndrome, it moves air to replace hot sweaty air with hot dry air. why wouldnt it work? (in theory when done right)

the concept is sound, its just a matter of weather THAT exact item will do it properly

Agreed. If that fan moves the air enough I think that would be just as good.

I love swamp ass...

Wait, no I don't... Awesome products. I want to build something that would go under the surface of the seats themselves, though. I don't want a crummy cover, haha.

What do you have in mind for under the seats? I saw another system that takes a pump that sits on the floor connected to a pad on the seat, but that defeats the whole point of taking out the A/C to begin with.

I'm no engineer, so I lack the knowledge/creativity/patience to design anything like that. But just thinking of some way to integrate a cooling/airflow system into the stock seat would be cool (LITERALLY LOLERBEANZZZZ!). I can't stand seat covers, let alone something that I would constantly notice while sitting in it. Honestly, though, I'd get something like that. If it would keep me from being soaked in back and booty sweat while in biz cas, I'm sold, haha.

lol dont buy it, the only way you are going to get results you want is if you make your own and do it under the seat. even though its "liquid cooled" dosent mean f*&% all as there is nothing going to be transfering the heat... the tubes are behiend foam and even if it did transfer heat the air in your cabin is still hot and its going to be as warm as your car soon enough, my .02, dont buy it.

for the 240 project i was thinking of fiberglassing the back side of the seat foam to seal them up and routing one my a/c control positions into to the seats, mmmm, ice cube azz ftw !

but my A/C is going in the back seat, so its a much shorter jump.

im taking as much weight off the front as possible, but its still gonna be nice to have the a/c blasting on track days :)
