Hi All,

Trying to sort this out, I got a good deal on a supercharger so I bought it. It turns out to be a clockwise rotating unit, so I would need to mount it on the drivers side of the engine. I can fabricate a bracket and all of that, however the part I am curious about is the bearing supports and jack shaft that run across the front of the motor, are these pieces I can readily attain or do I have to one off those as well? I've seen some pictures of SHO's with this particular arrangement however am totally lost on where to get those pieces. I would even be interested in buying some if somebody has got them laying around. The supercharger is a vortech V1 S trim. Thanks!

It will be a lot of fabrication. Unless Doug Lewis at FPS would be willing to send you some parts from his Shaft Driven setup.

Well what ever bracket you fab up your going to need mounts that will align the jack shaft to it. If you can make and design the SC bracket the Jack shaft mounts shouldn't be too much harder.

Thanks guys, I sent Doug an email, who knows maybe he's got some parts laying around he wants to unload. I could make all of the pieces, but would prefer to just buy them if someone already has it done, I am lazy :)

In my opinion, doing a CCW setup (A bracket would be much easier to fabricate, and I'm sure a member here would let you copy theirs) would do wonders. Not to mention, doing it with a FMIC would mean the ONLY SHO specific part would be the bracket.

I've got the bracket and Fmic and what not to do a ccw type set up. I have had the blower posted for trade for a ccw unit for awhile. Figured I would either trade it for the right one or I would sell it and go turbo. Haven't had any bites on it at all so I figured I would do a little research on using the one that I've got. Sounds like it might be to big of a pita to bother with though. Thanks for all the input!

Sell the blower you have, it's not worth the trouble.

Wanna sell that bracket you have for a CCW setup?
