-great job Blu!:salute: i looked for 2-3 weeks before i found these. did a wanted ad, searched j/y's, etc. the ones from Ford retailed at $111 and cost is like $60. and i said for a strip of sheetmetal that will rust and fall apart again??? no thanks. searched thru tin, metal plates. various shapes, forms, and sizes. found this. bought 1, to test and match...had the same angle as the original strip, just a little thicker. matched my holes, popped it on and works just as good as original, never will rust and is waaaaaaay cheaper. works for me!;)

I was thinking DIN rail but I have not looked closely enough to see what style might work or not.

I wouldn't even bother with that stuff when you can get the carpet trim. It only cost $20US for two 6' lengths @ Home Depot. Actually, I'm taking a break (its near 100*F here this afternoon) from installing the skirt right now and I can tell you the carpet trim holds the skirt perfectly! Don't mess around with that DIN junk........ do it right the first time. :thumb:

Wow.. This looks amazing.. Where did you get the new retainer and what reference did you use for riveting it in the correct place?

That came out great.
I don't have the fabricating skills you do though so I probably will order my pieces through rust repair. $55 for a rocker and $127 for the dog leg
