current Mods- cattless downpipes, air raid intake, muffler delete, 3 bar map sensor, Jlt catch can, dw400 fuel pump TUNED by Gear Head

What up yall, need help diagnosing a lean condition. About a month ago I did a data log just to make sure everything was going well because I had a misfire. Tuner said the fuel pump was not keeping up under WOT. I got a p2098 code. I replaced the in tank fuel pump (dw400), replaced injectors (Bosch), replaced HPFP (oem), driver module, spark plugs (ford performance), coils (oem), did a data log and sent it over to my tuner. Tuner said it was better but still dropping pressure and was concerned because there was a big difference between banks. He told me to replace the 2 primary 02 sensors and don't worry about the rear because I'm catless. Replaced them and did another data log. He said its batter but not much. Also stated bank 2 is at +20% correction where bank one is only +7 where it should be, also said that the fuel pressure is dropping so hard because there is an extra 13% fuel addition to bank 2. At this point I have no idea what else I can do.

generally it is at 25% where the codes are triggered iirc, but it has to be really high.

did you have this issue before the catch can? was it specifically developed for the SHO or did you have to modify to fit.

check intercooler for fuel/oil/water buildup.

Do you have black smoke out the tailpipe? It may be a false lean condition. You might have blown the gaskets between the turbo and downpipe out. This would allow a false air reading making the o2 think you are lean and dumping fuel in. This could also account for the offset between banks as one gasket may be worse than the other.

There is black smoke that comes out after doing a pull, tuner says that normal because I’m catless

Black smoke is unburnt fuel. I think that if you are genuinely lean, there would not be black smoke unless you are going so lean it cannot burn across the chamber. I would be curious about false air after the cylinder before the sensor. A leaky gasket/connection will have a venturi effect and draw clean air. The sensor will see the unburned oxygen and read this as a lean condition causing it to add/request more fuel. This would cause the fuel trim to be high, meanwhile, the car would be rich and blowing black smoke. Check your oil level and smell. If it is overfull or smells like fuel, this would also point to the false lean condition. The extra fuel will wash down the cylinder, go past the rings, and into the oil pan. Outside of checking that, you would need to smoke test the exhaust or just replace the gaskets with a good-quality replacement to eliminate that as an option.

Tuner thinks it’s a clogged fuel injector, but I just replaced them about 200mils ago, is it possible? Yes but I can’t see them being clogged already

May be worth pulling the injectors and having them flowed/cleaned. I took mine to Injector Experts https://cleaninginjector.com/. It was $25 each. He was pretty fast. If you send USPS Express, it is a 1-2 day delivery. If he gets them before 2 pm, they get sent back the next day. For $25 he will rush them and do them the same day. If you had something post filter fail/failing and there is stuff built up somewhere, it could clog the new injectors. Is the tuner thinking it is clogged and not flowing? I would think that would be only on one bank and it would be a lean misfire on one cylinder. As little as 8-10% clog will create a misfire or detonation.

Thats normal across all catless tunes no matter the tuner. I roll black all the time when getting on it. Been fine for years now.
Pull your top o2 sensors and clean them. They are probably coated as **** like mine get or just buy new ones. Bottom 2 o2s dont do anything. They have a purpose but not really once catless

Just replace them last week, they are coated but didn’t fix anything with new 02’s

you pull the hose off the passenger side and use the oil dipstick to reach down into it and see how much it shows.
