Rough ride and low back end

B/C of snow and lack of plows on my street, when i go through snow it feels like I'm in a friggin army tank...The car shakes like crazy and rattles. I know it is a stiffer suspension than most cars, but it is a VERY rough ride. Another problem is that I had a couple friends riding in the back seat and when I looked at the rear wheels and the wheel wells were almost down to the tire...My friends weigh about 150 each, nothign major, after they got out, it still looked lower in the rear than before. I know i need new front struts b/c it kinda bobs up and down when I hit bumps, but the rest im not sure about. Can anyone give me a little advice? thanks.

god, I first thought you were talking about a Gen I!!! The bobbing definitely points to struts, and sagging is a spring issue. The springs control the compression of the car's suspension system, and the struts control the rebound of it, so if you are getting a rough ride with sagging, it would be springs, but a floaty ride that feels like you are in a 64 ghetto style impala would be struts. You'd get the same bounce if you had stock struts with a firmer spring such as the SS, Intrax, or Eibach set.
