I've seen a lot of topics on rough idles in earlier models, but I haven't seen anything about 3rd generations.
I have a 1997 SHO that sounds like it's not firing on all cylinders at idle. It seems to clear up at higer RPMs. I had the same problem a year or 2 ago, and it took 3 trips (and a lot of money) for the ford dealer to fix it. The first trip they cleaned the fuel injectors, the second trip they changed the spark plugs (which was very expensive), and the third trip they changed the catalytic converter, which seemed to solve the problem.
Is there anything I can check, or should I take my chances at the dealer again?
Thanks for any help,
David
