Can track tires be swapped on the rims, left for right?

The second and last one I will run on the front at my next event, but would it be worth it to swap the other two so the worn side is more on the inside? Or is it better to just let them wear the way they are?

you can flip them, even directionals, as the tread is only there to channel water in the went. I remember Penske Indycar team in '93 figured out their car ran faster in the wet with the rear tires backwards!

+1, yup, flipping tires on their wheels is a common thing to do with track tires, especially on a camber-challenged car like a SHO.

Excellent! Will have this done before my first event.

Also, that picture only makes me more excited to get back on the track

Hoosiers are funny because they'll have directional arrows. On both sides, facing opposite directions...

What kind of Hoosier has arrows? I know they make rain tires, but I don't think I've ever seen a set. The R6s in my garage don't have arrows. I've never seen them on R6s or A6s.

My hanooks are the same way.

They are designated that way so that when you rotate them you place the directional arrow side to the outside of the tire, rotating in the right direction. That way the tire belts are rotating in the same direction as before. This helps reduce the heat build-up in the tires. :salute:

Must be for the helium-fill only tires.

So I took them to NTB to get flipped. They called and said it was done but they couldn't balance them because of the way they were worn. I told them to do it anyways
