So, I have tried all of the programming instructions for programming a key fob... with locks unlocked turning the key to ACC 8 times then it will go into programming mode, then that didnt work so I tried it 10 times, still no luck. The keypad works fine, the power locks are good. Just cannot get it to go into programming mode to program some key fobs.

Car is a 93 ATX btw... Any suggestions or tips?

no...there is a plug on the left inside of the trunk behind the carpet, near the trunk hinge. mine was clipped to a bracket. Its just an open plug with two prongs. i just shoved a big screwdriver in there.

no u just hit buttons on the fob and it will learn it. once it locks and unlocks you can stop shorting the two plugs. and go open a cold frosty one

Hi.. I have a 93sho, I'v searched the left trunk area, the only 2 pin connector i saw, I tried jumping it, and it popped and the paper clip got really hot quick, so I can imagine thats not the correct one to jump. Is there another location for the programming jumper?

I did this the other day I will try to get a pic posted up... The directions that worked for me are as follows:

1. Turn key to ACC on and leave it
2. Go into trunk on the left side pull the carpet back and locate a 2 wire connector attached to the fender wall
3. Stick gator clip/screw driver/ whatever fits etc. into the connector until you hear a pop/click which will be the door locks.
4. Press any button on the key fob or fobs depending on how many you have, when you hear the doors lock/unlock
5. Turn the key off and test the fob.
6. Enjoy being Lazy :)

I bought a 94 SHO without the key fob. The car had all the features for it, PO just lost the fob. I ordered a fob from ebay and followed the directions above from Troubled93 with perfect results. I can't say enough how much I appreciate this forum.
