Can they be put on the inside of the rim so you dont have to look at them?

I would say have them attempt a dynamic balance first. Depending on the width of the spokes on the wheel and how much weight is required on the outer edge, you can often get away w/ hiding the weights for the outer edge behind a spoke.

Sometimes it takes some playing around w/ rotating the tire on the rim to shift the imbalance till its in line with a spoke, but its often possible. the only thing is that when doing this, if the machine calls for 5oz on the outer lip, it might take 5.5oz behind the spoke to actually get it to balance.

Any new audi & VW wheel i did at the dealership was done this way, if I was swapping a tire on a used wheel I did the same thing the last guy did. no reason to hide the stickons if the wheel lip already has a jillion marks from curbs and pound on weights.
