Reverse Light LED Replacement

I went to replace my reverse lights today and realized I had the wrong bulb. The Sylvania replacement guide said it was a 7440 which is a wedge bulb. What I took out is defiantly not a wedge bulb. The bulb I took out is a Phillips PH16W. Does anyone know the LED replacement for the reverse light and where they purchased it.

I've been hunting one and have not found anyone that carries or makes a LED replacement for the PH16W....I have also found that you should not use the Sylvania guide for bulb replacement, use the owner's manual.

Led would be a bad choice unless you did a custom setup with some high power leds. The plug and play bulbs will not throw out enough light to be useful. It's also why they are a poor choice for tail lights as well.

The only replacement LED I've been able to find for the PH16W is this one sold by Diode Dynamics for the Camaro. Not sure if the $89.99 price is for a single bulb or set of two. Link below:

That's the price for a pair, it says right in the description.

If you break the PH16W bulbs carefully, you can use the two filament leads to solder to these LED pads.
Worked GREAT on my car and only $7.50 for the pair.
