i was on ebay looking at things for my 98 sho, and i came across these resitor mods. i was going to go down to radio shack and and just by a resistor for like ten cents insted of paying ten bucks online. does anybody know if it safe to do this to our cars, and if so what size resistior do i need and where do i plug it in, the ad said in the IAT sensor, but i don't know what that is. thanks

as the old saying goes: "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is..."

Well in this case, it IS! This "mod" will do nothing for performance (or anything else)

The resistor mod on some cars may actually work in forcing the A/F richer during open loop WOT than it normally would. But the OEM programming for all SHOs is too rich from the factory.

On the Gen 3 SHO before ~'98 the high temp timing trigger is 90F. +'98s it is around 100F IIRC.
