replacing transmission

i was just wondering how much it should cost me to get a transmission romoved from one car and put into another.

Either Mitchell On Demand or Alldata (don't remember which) showed 6.1 hours for a trans job. I would guess many (most?) shops would charge 12.2 hours. Maybe less as presumably one trans is not being reinstalled. On the other hand; the shop will have to dispose of the donor car?

to remove transmission from one car, make it so that can move again.... take out your transmission, then put back in the other transmission..............

anyplace worth paying money to will charge about 1600+ for that

edit* now that I think about it again... if u gotta make donor car roll ever again... prolly more like 2000 instead of 1600

you would have to reattach subframe, suspension, mounts, and tires......... so thats prolly about a good 200 bucks worth of work right there EASILY...........

I can change a transmission on a MTX in 4 hours at the shop.
