Replacing struts

Hi all,
I have a 1994 ATX (85K). It needs new struts and mounts on the rear and the inner tie rod end replaced. The quote they have given me has 5 hours of labor. Does that seem reasonable.

given youve been quoted at a reputable shop, id say thats a tad high. 4 hours at the most.

Try to find a SHO enthusiast that live in or around your area and have him help you with install, you pay for his labor and learn how to do it.

DHMAG - I like the shop. I have used them befores and I think they are trustworthy. I phoned the guy there and asked him if he would charge me less if they spent less time. He said, it lloks like they will spend more because he is having a hrd time getting the old parts off. I know that is an issue because I have had a hard time in the past getting stuff off - It has just been there so long.

PROPHET - I like the idea of finding someone in my area to do it and watching him and learning. I can do the basics but since I would need to use a tool for the strut, I decided to have the shop do this one. Is there anyway I can find who lives in Atlanta on this site. Or is there a place that I could post for that.

Most likely someone has the tool for the strut even I have one and I'm no mechanic, again check for a SHO club in or close to your area.
