Replacing outer boot, help!

I can't get race to come off the shaft. I read the directions in the manual, directions that came in the box... tapped on it and it won't budge. Any pointers? Anyone wanna come over and help???

Do yourself a favor and take it back and buy a complete half-shaft assembly.
