I have all the stuff off behind the timing belt and i'm down to Main
Seal.

When I yanked the crankshaft position sensor a black rubber boot came
out ... Not sure how it aligns. Can you advise ?

I have the timing belt off and aligned the two top timing cam gears to
their marks. Am i supposed to align the crankshaft to its mark now ?
Then when i put the belt on align it to the marks on the belt ?

Last question.
How do i take the main seal out ? Drive a screwdriver thru it and pull
it out ? Any tips there ? I have never done a seal before ..

Thanks Phil

The timing belt replacement procedure has you align the crank and cam pulleys before removing the timing belt. Before installing the new belt, just ensure that the crankshaft and camshafts are aligned as shown in the images below.

Hey its SDpatt.. Didnt know you were still here.. Kewl.

What he said is exactly what you want to do. Additionally, once you get it buttoned up you need to move the crankshaft dampner pulley to align the first mark ( I believe white) with the 0 degree mark on the lower timing cover before you put on the accessory belt.

half-way there, I think.
Hey guys, that part is done. Thanks. Phil decided to pull his high mileage motor (255, I think) and swap in a lower mileage motor (150, I think) that had a documented history from the time it drove off the lot in 92' until it was rear ended last year, when I say documented... I mean documented. He also replaced the steering rack that was leaking, that's actually what precipated the motor swap. I helped him with the timimg belt and dropping the motor and transmission back in last night. He should be close to firing it back up.
