I thought something fancy like Titanium or something. I dont know. Anyway...any tips or comments will be MUCH APPRECIATED. Lol. Thanks again in advance! on another note.....i have to admit it, I ordered some SHO themed vanity plates.....just throwing that out there...lol

A great number of people have repainted / powdercoated the slicer rims. A search on here will get some results. Sometimes they are in the open forums as people chat about their results. As with every other kind of painting, it is the preparation work that makes the difference, and for my money, it is hard to beat the silver-grey colour of the stock slicer.

Sand them, prime them, paint them. Its that simple. Go the extra distance and have the tires removed first.

I did mine with Dupli-color Wheel Paint (silver) 2 years ago. Prep work is the key, I spent almost 3 hours prepping each wheel before painting. Also used a heater attachment on a propane tank to cook the paint (I did this during the winter in my garage) They came out great but after 2 years or driving they are starting to chip. Also any kind of weights on there will wreck the paint so opt for the stick on ones. I will be powder-coating next time around. The stock or as near to stock color is still the best!!

just curious, has anyone ever had theirs chromed? and if so how did they look and how did it hold up?

A friend of mine recently did the plastidip stuff on his stock rims because he wanted black rims, and I have to say they turned out very nice. Way cheaper than refinishing cost or buying new rims.

Yeah, I recently went down to a powder coating shop near my house and they a quoted me a fairly resonable price. 280. That includes all prep work, sandblasting etc., and painting them the stock white. However i would need to have the tires removed, installed, and balanced. Now all I need to do is save up the money. Lol

I used this on mine too. The key to this is a heavy clear coat, but not so heavy that it runs. Mine look outstanding and I expect it will last because I did them nearly a year ago and haven't driven the car yet. It should be very well cured!
