The subframe is off the car due to the clutch service. Aluminum SFBs are going to be installed. The front stock bushings have the four 10mm nuts, and they came off easily.

The rear bushings are of a different design. There are no fasteners to be seen. I tried to pry them off, but they are stubborn. Small pieces of corroded metal are flaking off the bottom too when they are pried(from the bushing assembly, not the subframe.

The bottom halves came off, but the top halves are secure in place.

How are these removed?

The rears are different though. I see no fasteners at all, and the bottom halves did come off with a little twisting. Is this unusual? I expected to find all four bushings with the four nuts. Again the rears have none to be seen, nor does the rubber part have the grooves for the studs or nuts. They are more rounded and doughnut shaped.

Should I turn the subframe over and knock out the uppers? I assume that the upper and lower surfaces (on subframe with bushings removed)should be flat like the upper ones. Is this correct?

Here are some pictures of when I installed my aluminum bushings. When I took off my rear bushings there was also a ****** or washer that you have to pound out in order for the aluminum bushings to fit. ASFB Install
