any suggestions for getting the lower IAb bolt off? I loosened the top bolt, flipped the AIB valve toward the firewall as far as I could and I cant seem to get a grip on the lower bolt with an allen wrench, it just keeps slipping and I dont want to strip the head of the bolt.

i loaded up the area around the bolt with some wd-40 but I still cant get enough of a grip or leverage to get it to break.

after a while I gave up on it and cleaned the TB really well with carb cleaner, it helped a little but i still have the bouncy idle problem and I think the only way to stop it is by removing the IAB and cleaning it.

Best way is to get a allen bit on a 1/4" drive socket with extensions go under the snakes a bit to where you can get some room. Then use a ratchet.

i agree with above ,
But if ur already in the middle of the job and ur pinched . I just cut an allen wrench down so it will fit , then took the box end of a wrench and used it to turn my cut allen ......... ;)

U'd be amazed @ the ideas u can come up with when ur cars apart and the beer store closes in 30 min.
