I bought my sho about 1 month ago and shortly after, i bought a remote for it. After putting new batteries in it{cost ME six dollars  } it still only seems to work about 8 feet away, no farther. The remote keyless module is a few months old, previous owner had receipt{it cost HIM 650.00 for part and labor :D }. Anyhow, could it be the antenna on the module? I tried to chase the antenna down and it went where getting to it could be a problem.Where does the antenna go to from the main module? Is that why my remote doesn't work far away. Sometimes it takes a few pushes up close before it even begins to work. Any ideas, everyone?

The antenna SHOULD go to a high point in the car.

Also, if it is kept in very close proximity to the car's sheet metal thoroughout its entire length, its efficiency as an antenna is negated.

If I recall the schematic correctly, the antenna is located just above the b-pillar in the roof.

Mine had the same problem, and before I installed the remote-start/alarm that came with it's own antenna, I unplugged the antenna and rigged up my own wire dipole along the package shelf at the bottom of the back glass so it couldn't be seen. It only improved it to about ~50-60 feet, but it definitely beat the 10-15 feet I was getting before.
