So how do I know if I have the recall for the subframe done or not? I've heard holes in the floor. If so where? If I don't have it done how hard will it be to do it my self?

Technically, if it's a recall, ford HAS to do it, because it pertains to saftey. NHSTA says so.
The Taurus Subframe Plate/Nut Recall 98S36 is a Safety Recall which means it's not restricted with regard to time.

However, not every Recall is a Safety Recall, and those that are not often have time limitations (and other restrictions) put on them by the manufacturer.

I just checked and there are no holes. I don't think I have it done. I have a 9.75 flywheel...so you would think they would do the recall after doing the flywheel recall...

I'm not familier with the flywheel recall, is it a Safety Recall? If not, I would think it has expired by now. If the flywheel recall is still open, then by all means have Ford do both recalls at the same time.

Drop by your local dealership and tell them you want to make an appointment to have Recall 98S36 done. If they give you static, you can show them some supporting paperwork:

you can also call them and give them their VIN and they will tell you if its been done or not, I just had it done 3 months ago, they knew exactly what I was talking about and had it done, they even put in new rubber bushings even though replacing the bushing itself is not part of the recall. not like it matters i'm about to upgrade to aluminum.

FWIW, there have been a few people who have been told by dealers that their SHO had no open recalls, but yet the subframe plate/nut recall had in fact not been performed on their car. That leads me to believe that sometimes the system that Ford uses (OASIS) to keep track of the recalls isn't perfect. I've had Ford Techs tell me as much. It's not so much a problem with newer vehicles, which essentially are "tracked" right from the factory, but some of the older cars (and older recalls) can apparantly fall through the cracks.

Consequently, the best way to check for certain whether Recall 98S36 has been performed is to pull back the front passenger carpeting and look for the holes.

i checked my vin and it says no recalls need to be done on this vehicle, i havn't checked my floors, but in one of those bullitins it states in canada that ontario is set for recall on sub frame, what should i do? look under the carpet and see if it has been done, and if not, bring it to the dealer and demand them to do something about it?

Check under the carpet for the rubber plugs, if they are not there, then print out the document and bring it with you to the dealer. The document tells the dealer exactly what to do, even if your SHO's VIN does not show up in the OASIS system. It also clearly states that Ontario cars are covered by the recall.

A quote note...

According to Ford's database, my daily driver Titanium had the recall done prior to me owning it.

Well, it had not been done. I had to literally grab a tech, drag him ou to my car, and pull the carpets back to show him that it had indeed NEVER been done.

They did it that day, without paperwork, and sent me on my way.
