Recall on flywheel

How do I know if I got the recall on a 89 flywheel or not? Can I call up a ford dealership and tell them the vin code? Or will I have to drop the the tranny and find out my self?
In a group buy here so fast replies would be most appreciated.

I highly doubt you will have the original and that Ford will even honor the recall as well.

I'm sorry about pestering but, so if my flywheel had the recall done will it be 9.5 or 9.75?

Recall and all 91-95 MTX are 9.75"

Just pull your starter to be 100% sure. If the pressure plate is a thick cast piece you have the 9.75" clutch. If its a thin stamped steel one you still have the 9.5" clutch.

Yep looks like you are running the 9.75 clutch already.
