I need some tips/techniqes on how to remove the rear tension strut from the body. I removed the nut followed by pulling, wiggling and prying. That lead to beating and cursing and its still winning the battle. :laugh_ti:

Well I guess I just wasn't beating hard enough. I got them out. The service manual said to disgard the nuts, I understand why after removal. They'er toast.

How were the bushings? I replaced mine at the knuckle but left the body ones in. Mainly because I didn't order enough at the time. :nut:

I was advised to help free the body ones to loosen the nut, set the parking brake and drive forward a couple of inches.

I purchased the car from a guy in NJ. The car had been off roading and the front right knuckle was sheared from the lower control arm taking the wheel and strut with it. I bought it for a the engine for a project SHO that I'm working on and actually thought about fixing it up when I got it home. I got underneath and could see that it had been high centered on something and the entire floor, gas tank etc. had been smashed up about 6-12 inches up. So I went back to my original plans of using it for my project SHO.

The car is completly dismantled and meet its maker on monday.
