Would lowering the car have an effect the rear camber? If so would it be detrimental to tread life?

As with any independent rear suspension, as well as front suspension, lowering the spring will change the camber, as there is a fixed point that the control arm swings at. When you lower it, you change the swing angle, which in turn, changes the angle of the tire to the ground. The camber kit will correct this.

The SHO Shop tubular adjustable rear control arms are simply stock rear arms from a GTP. You can get them at a GM dealer for about 1/2 what the SHO Shop charges. I have a set on my 92, I got the part number in my files somewhere. I'll have to dig it up.

What year? My dad worked for GM for 37 years and also gets a parts discount.Looks like I'm getting tubular rear control arms.
